Settings

The Land of I represents a world based upon the idealism as seen through the eyes of the characters. The Land of I Forest represents the ideal community. The Land of I Forest Community is circular in dimension. At the center of the circle is the play area, the hub of daily activity, the meeting place. It's a park-like setting with shade trees, a picnic table with a mushroom umbrella, recycling trash bins, bubbling brook, slippery slide made from the Land of I rainbow arch, swing set, lush green grass and lots of flowers. A bridge crossing the stream makes the setting even more interesting.

Set back into the trees at the edge of the circular center are the homes of the Land of I Forest dwellers. The individual homes have front yards with small lawns, mailboxes and flowers. (New homes will be added from time to time as characters are added to the series.) Except for Jotasha's spacecraft, all Land of I Forest homes are made from earth and land.

The Land of I is located in a caring family forest community where each individual is important and dreams are nurtured and encouraged-- where diverse characters work harmoniously toward fulfilling one another’s dreams for a better world.

Grampa and Chad the Caterpillar's Home

Grampa and Chad's home is a large tree house with comfy hammocks to sleep in. The tree has nice big branches for the roof. The tree house is open to show the inside of the little dwelling. Chad loves his airplane collection. We see a clothesline with little socks hanging from it. Their mailbox is a small version of a tree with a hole built into the tree trunk to drop the mail into.

Freddy the Elephant's Home

Freddy the Elephant's home is a ground home made from logs with moss on the roof. His front window has a large windowsill. His mailbox is large with a carved wooden elephant that has a trunk to open the door latch. The name on his mailbox reads "Freddy the Elephant".

Jotasha and Cyclic's Home

Next in the circle, we find Jotasha and Cyclic's saucer ground home. The home is an oval saucer with high-tech modern conveniences. The space trio has a lawn with lots of potted flowers. Their mailbox is saucer-shaped with techno gizmos. The names "Jotasha and Cyclic" are printed on the post holder of the mailbox. When Jotasha reaches for her mail, the door automatically opens when her hand reaches through the sensor beam. The mailbox reminds her to "close the door" after she gets her mail out, then says, "Thank you". Kitzy Kat (Jotasha’s adopted cat) lives with her and Cyclic.

The mischievous stowaway Glorps live within the tall treetops of the forest community.

Gabriel and Abigail’s Home

Next to the spacecraft (in the treetops), we find the white fluffy cloud home of Gabriel and Abigail. A cloud path reaches down from their cloud home toward the ground with wide steps (zigzagging upward). A safety banister follows the stairway up to their home. The inside of the angel’s home is a bedroom scene with two beds, one pink and one blue.

On the wall over Gabriel's bed are pictures of baseball legends. His side of the room is quite messy. He has a large collection of baseball books and cards.

An early alert Warning System (made of clear pipes) is installed in the room. The device warns Gabriel and Abigail that intruders or visitors have entered the Land of I Forest.

On Abigail's side of the room, we find a multi-cultural angel doll collection, some pretty plants, and a broom and duster for cleaning. Her environmental books are stacked neatly. Abigail's side of the room is as neat as a pin.

The angel twin's mailbox is a fluffy cloud with a sparkle rope attached to the top of the box to pull it up to their home. “Gabriel and Abigail-- Little Angels for Little People” is stenciled into the cloud box in dark blue.

The Greenhouse is a large round or square structure that appears to be made of shiny glass. The greenhouse is filled with blooming plants and vegetables. Comfortable wooden chairs line the inside so special “green thumb” guests can interact with the Land of I inhabitants as they learn about gardening, taking care of our planet and environmental issues. Viewed from the outside, the dome appears to be filled with sparkly stars, a bright sun and several glowing planets.

When other characters visit or join the Land of I forest, more homes will be added. Example: The senior citizen couple, Ned the Horse and Gertie the Cow arrive in the Land of I forest pulling their dwelling -- a barn travel camper. Their travel home will be added to the circle surrounding the park (outside set).
