| Caterpillar is preoccupied with trying to grow wings to fly, when a spacecraft crash-lands in the Land of I. Grampa C is certain that the aliens will be unfriendly to Caterpillars. Chad is naturally curious and rushes to the scene of the crash, while Grampa C retires to his home and checks out the visitors with a spyglass. Twelve-year-old Jotasha, (a young space girl) and her loyal robot Cyclic, from neighboring planet USU, emerge from the damaged craft. Jotasha and Cyclic are delighted to meet the Land of I forest dwellers. They are greeted by Chad the Caterpillar- a dreamy young caterpillar who yearns to fly, Freddy the Elephant- a chubby, little guy who tries too hard to fit in, and Gabriel and Abigail- Little Angels for Little People guardian angel twins.

1.1 CHAD - TREE HOUSE
"Brrrrrrn, Nrrrrrr." (Chad enters and lands his plane next to GRAMPA C.) "GRAMPA? I think I’m changing."

"Hmmmmmmm."

"No, reeeally. Feel my back, I think I have wing nubblies."

"Chad, that’s what you said yesterday."

"GRAMPA, didn’t your ever want to be a butterfly?"

"Stuff and Nonsense! I like to keep my feet firmly on the ground, Yes . . . firmly on the ground."

"But GRAMPA, didn’t you ever want to feel the breeze under your wings? Flutter and float, and feel fantastic. GRAMPA, did you ever have a dream?"

(Jotaha’s spaceship is seen coming in for a crash landing from the edge of the frame. It disappears from behind some nearby trees. Jiggle of camera.)

"See what I mean! Spaceships, just fallin’ out of the sky! Falling’ right out of the sky! SPACESHIPS! Run for your lives! ALIENS!" (Grampa scurries off the edge of the tree house platform)
1.9 CHAD
"But Grampa, wait! What if they’re nice aliens? The kind that like caterpillars."

(GRAMPA C pops head over the edge then cautiously creeps back to Chad)
"Sure they like caterpillars . . . for dinner! Tossed in salads or simmered in soups or baked in a pie! Caterpillar pie! Caterpillar ice cream! Caterpillar candy bars! RUN for your lives!"
(GRAMPA C pops out of sight – scurries away)

"But GRAMPA C wait! . . ."
(to camera) "This is exciting! ALIENS from outer space! Wow! Right here in the Land of I!"
